The ground is now hard,
where before it cushioned me.
Puddles become ice.
Running in Winter
Seeing my breath in the cold.
Where is my shadow?
I startle some geese
as I run through a field.
They fly noisily.

after the winter solstice.
But I can’t tell yet.
Running in the cold
Makes us tougher they all say.
Still glad for treadmill!
Snow looks so pretty,
I think I’ll make some footprints.
Crunchy sound it makes.
