In my previous post I talked a little about Sebastian Coe, the Chairman of the London Olympics Organizing Committee. Although he won the gold medal in the 1500 in the LA Olympics, perhaps his most memorable win was in the '80 Olympics in Moscow, four years earlier. He had been upset by countyrman and rival Steve Ovett in the 800 meters (Coe's specialty), but came back days later to upset Ovett in the 1500. The iconic photograph of his joy, and perhaps disbelief, as he crossed the finish line is below.
